Don't worry! The pants have a specialised wicking and absorbent layer that is treated with an antimicrobial odour control system - which sounds technical but basically means it intercepts any smells, even if it's hot and sweaty.

This award-winning technology is used in the body fabric of our Sleepwear and Premium Comfort ranges.

Even with the super sustainable material in the body fabric, our pants are not fully decomposable. But don't blame us, blame the gusset! Due to how much absorbing we need the gusset to do for us––and how comfy and secure it needs to make you feel––it's too difficult to also make it recyclable.  

However, for the eco-conscious, you can still recycle the pants' body fabric. Just cut out the super-absorbent gusset, dispose of it, and drop off the rest of the fabric at your local textile recycling bin.  

Who knows, maybe the next piece of sustainable clothing you buy could’ve been made thanks to your recycled fabric scraps! 

Our range of absorbencies available in our TENCEL™ Lyocell x REFIBRA™ fibres period pants means you can stay comfortable and protected during the day and all through the night! You can find these pants in light, moderate, heavy and overnight absorbency. 

If you’re a period pants beginner, here’s a simple guide to help you decide which absorbency is right for you: 

Light flow – equivalent to up to 1 pad/tampon change 

Moderate flow – equivalent to up to 3 pad/tampon changes 

Heavy flow – equivalent to up to 6 pad/tampon changes 

Overnight flow – equivalent to up to 6 pad/tampon changes (these pants include a special overnight gusset that is longer in the front and the back, to keep your protected even as you toss and turn at night!) 

Even though the material sounds a little bit technical and complicated, washing your period pants definitely isn’t! 

There are a few easy steps to washing your Bodyform™ period pants. Firstly, rinse them in cold water to remove any excess flow. Then, pop them in your washing machine at 40 degrees with your usual load (don't use fabric softener or bleach, as this can affect the efficiency of the pants). Then simply hang to dry away from direct heat and sunlight. It’s that simple! We wouldn't recommend dry cleaning them, as this can also affect their efficiency.
