These sessions have been tailored using research to understand the core biological & hormonal components of menstrual cycles, their associated physical & mental symptoms and their impact on sleep.

We know that some days (and especially nights) on your period can sometimes feel challenging, but we're here to help you tap into the power of self-confidence around your menstrual cycle with our series of positive affirmation videos, available on YouTube.

The research was carried out by Zenith International, on behalf of Essity and Ketchum. A total of 1,501 people with periods were surveyed in the UK. Fieldwork ran in July 2024 and was conducted by TLF Research.

Calculated average based on NHS data, which states the average number of periods experienced in a year is 13 and last for an average of 5 days, and that menstruators experience periods for an average of 39 years [from ages 12 - 51].

A note on women+

The term women+ refers to women PLUS anyone else who has a womb or menstruates. Essity knows that not everyone who menstruates is a woman, namely those born with a different biological sex to their gender identity. The + added to those women recognises and includes the full range of underrepresented groups who use our products, such as trans and non-binary people.
